Doctor cleared me to run today! He recommended Day 1: 1 minute, Day 2: 1 minute, Day 3: rest, Day 4: 2 minutes, Day 5: 2 minutes, Day 6: rest, Day 7: 4 minutes, Day 8: 4 minutes, Day 9: rest. I'm going to follow that and hope for no changes in pain levels in my tibia. I've been dealing with a stress reaction for most of 2015.

So today was a 1 minute run. I couldn't help but smile. I've never been happier to run 1 minute! Followed by about 10 mintues yoga at home.

This was my first run since September, and even before September, I hadn't been able to run much since injuring myself in early March when I developed a stress reactio in my right tibia, which went undiagnosed until September. To kick the stress reaction for good, I was in a cam walker boot for 7 weeks (and crutches for 3 weeks) and gave up working out completely from October through today. No running, no yoga, no weights. Sedentary. That was really tough but hopefully worth it!

Here's to a better year in 2016! Great to be back--even if it was just for 1 minute today!
