Fartlek run in Balboa Park. Easy miles with 8x40 seconds at hard effort (probably 1-mile pace) with 90 second rest intervals. I was running slow during these recoveries. Wonder if it is worth running a little faster during the rest interval?

Slow jog is definitely OK during efforts at that intensity level. You want to recover and make sure you can actually run the "on" segments really fast.

It's a deceptively hard run...and actually I was pretty tired at the end. But could have done more. I think that's where I should be though! Thanks Jake! :)
